XPS on AIX

Hi, my customer have 2 RS6000 (F50 model) and SSA device. He is running AIX4.2 on them. I would like to achieve two things with my Informix database: 1) fault tolerance system - if one node goes down, other node continue to serve clients sql (guard against disk failures must be included) 2) distribute database load on both node I understand OnLine7.2? data replication could not distribute write load on both node, but XPS could. On www.informix.com I found that XPS relies on disks to be dual-ported in order to recover from failure and the underlying hardware must support this function. How can I found information does my configuration support dual-ported disks? I can see the same disk in SSA device from both nodes. Is XPS the right product form me or shell I use some other Informix product/configuration? Any comments?
