Placing TEXTAREA data from HTML form into TEXT column

I guess it's obvious I'm no expert when I ask... I'd like to take the data in the TEXTAREA of a submitted HTML form and, with LiveWire pro, place it into a TEXT type field in an Informix database table. I don't see how to do this. (The "Informix Guide to SQL: Tutoral" says I can "use the SELECT form of the INSERT statement to copy a blob value from another table." But, of course, my blob value (the text) is coming from the form, not another table.)
