Paul Gathogo migrated from IDS 7.3 to IDS 10 on SUSE Linux 10 and found queries very slow. allen.philip asked if statistics were updated. Art Kagel said to drop all the 7.31 data distributions and rebuild them with version 10. Mark Jamison agreed and asked for an onconfig diff, OPTCOMPIND and OPTGOAL values, and sample slow queries. No outcome reported.

Hi Paul,
As several people have mentioned. Rebuilding your distributions is a must.
Any chance you can send a diff of the onconfig between version 7 and 10?
And the values for the following, if they are the same:
OPTCOMPINDOPTGOAL
Oh and can you give some exacmple queries that are slower, and whether or not
they use views.
Thanks Much,
Mark
