<textarea> -> TEXT Column via 4GL WebKit

I'd like to save web page form <textarea> to a TEXT type column in a table. I haven't been able to accomplish this using 4GL and the icgi_getvalue() function given with the 4GL WebKit. Does anybody know how to do this? I can't use the following, for instance: define myTextfield text let myTextfield = icgi_getvalue("aTextarea") The compiler complains that myTextfield cannot be used in the let statement because it is a complex type (error -4323 I think: I'm doing this from memory).
