In article <62mn0m$ok3@cssun.mathcs.emory.edu>, sas@mastic.gov.my says... >My company and >its client have already signed a contract, and any delay in the project >will be blamed at Development Team. If we dont complete it, we will be >seen as inefficient in our work. I dont know what to do. My post suggesting you read Yourdon's Deathmarch was entirely serious; it boils down to two choices. Either (1) you do the work as well as you can, and try to manage the consequences of the inevitable failure to fulfill the commitments made by the moron(s) who signed the contract, or (2) get another job and quit the sorry company that put you in that position. Yourdon devotes most of his 200 pages to trying to manage the doomed-to-failure projects that make up (1). If you're going to be held responsible for the situation, you are definitely in a lose-lose situation. -- William Harris william@carsinfo.com Check out the NAGS spam filter. http://www.nags.org
