16 K Page Structure

Hi everyone, I got a ERP Totvs environment that always "create" (using update apps), a table that have a row size bigger than page size. Even if I create a 16 K page size dbspace, I cannot reach that row size (some tables have a 32000 byte of row size). 1 - Does anybody have a better idea but compress ?2 - How do I calculate the extent size and next size for a table that have a row size bigger than page size? Thanks a lot André Luiz Rufino
Andre Calculating Initial and Next Extent are no different regardless of the size of the rows/pages. Just multiply row size by expected number of rows to be inserted over the next (say) 12 months for Initial and take 20% of this for Next. It is OK to have a row size greater than page size, the engine will just split the row over multiple pages using forward pointers and remainder pages. What data is in these rows ? can you use varchars or blob space to hold the data ? I've seen other apps like this that dictate your database design, they are almost impossible to work with and totally destroy any hope of sensible management of the database and data sprall.
