Re: makefile for esqlc source

Siva, You didn't indicate what your problem is. There are too many "ifs" to really give you a good answer. For starters, what are CC and OBJ set to? You should probably make sure that you always use esql to compile, not cc, that way required libraries are automatically included for you. I would also eliminate the preprocess step (esql -e) and compile using "esql -c". Based on what you've given, if the "def.h" doesn't contain any host variables and is included in your source files, the following should work (I gave a name to the executable created; Oh yeah, you should probably always give your mail address so questions can be "replied" directly to you, rather than to the entire newsgroup..) prog1: src1.o src2.o src3.o esql -o prog1.exe src1.o src2.o src3.o src1.o: src1.ec def.h esql -c src1.ec src2.o: src2.ec def.h esql -c src2.ec src3.o: src3.ec def.h esql -c src3.ec ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: makefile for esqlc source Author: informix-list-owner@rmy.emory.edu at Internet Date: 12/16/95 6:42 PM Hello, I am having problem writing a makefile for an esqlc source program.
