In article <5kkpkf$dkt@cssun.mathcs.emory.edu>, Ozlem Atmaca <ozlem@login.com.tr> writes >} We've been working for some years with a large application on Unix using >} AIX, graphics and Informix for the database. But I know that you can link C libraries and so on. >Anyway for detailed information you may refer to http://www.4js.com Thanks for this. I shall talk to 4Js. What we are attempting seems to be far more difficult than I ever expected :- 1: The application contains several programs that make use of Unix and communicate using X-Windows services. 2: I cannot buy a 4GL compiler comparable to v4 on Unix. (I'll see if 4Js can help here.) 3. I cannot use the X-Windows 'xterm' utility to open a character window on a remote screen because 'xterm' requires services which NT doesn't provide. Faced with all these problems, I am keen (desperate?) to contact someone who has been down this road already. Has anyone tried to do this? Bye for now Chris Jakeman
