Is the protocol to the Informix STAR sqlexecd server open? I want to interface to the server via PERL and I would like to not write an ESQL/C interface to PERL, but rather connect directly to the sqlexec port. I've managed to figure out some parts of the protocol by tapping the TCP connection, but it would be preferrable to know for sure what I'm doing. Any help would be appreciated.
