Bear in mind that this is the Migration guide, and that the discussion
includes migrating from IDS 7.x to IDS 9.4. This chapter is about
migrating from 9.x, 7.3x or 7.24 - and the section is about preparing to
upgrade. The 'oncheck -me' option is specific to IDS 7.3x (and was not
added in 7.30.UC1 or 7.31.UC1 IIRC), so you need to scout around the
7.3x manuals and/or documentation notes or release notes to find out
about it. I think it could usefully be marked as specific to the 7.3x
source versions of IDS.
No; I actually haven't gone looking at the 7.3x documentation or release
notes. If it isn't there either, it is a somewhat separate bug.
As to what '-me' (merge extents) does: it moves data pages around so
that the number of extents in the table is reduced, reducing the chances
of failing during upgrade.

Is oncheck -me supported in IDS 10?
