But on balance, to ignore the outside world of Informix's competition, really gets to the point. Informix ignored its competition, its developers, and common sense. Today, it now pays for it. Don't get angry with me, get angry at Bob Pinocchio, that French f***, and all those dumb jackasses that got Informix to the point where it collapsed. They did wonders for Informix DBAs and others who had careers, paychecks, and families depending on their success. The tragedy is in how simple it would have been to fix some of the problems, but as we all know they did absolutely nothing, and all the predictions came true--actually it is now worse than what was predicted. Where are all those greedy bastards now? Living with the wealth that they made off of the carcass of the company. And now you have to live with the reality that the world doesn't really care, it's whatever gets the most marketing...
