Get the source to my dbcopy.ec utility that does EXACTLY what Saneev needs done (he has downloaded it BTW). Dbcopy also avoids the long transaction and lock table overflow problems you allude to by committing every N rows. The program is in the utils2_ak submission I made to the IIUG Software Repository.
