Logical log backup - Why!?

I understand that the logical logs must be backed up consistently in order to be freed, but why would I need to back them up otherwise? If I did a Level 0 backup once per week and then a Level 1 every other weekday wouldn't that be sufficient? We're not a mission-critical, 24hour - 7 day/week organization. If we lost a day's worth of data it wouldn't be a big deal. Are there any reasons to do Level 0, Level 1 AND preserve our Logical Log backups? Right now I'm thinking of setting a continuous backup and redirecting the Logical Log Tape Device to NUL. Would anybody counsel against this? And why? TIA, Eric Gavin
