RE: Backup on Informix Dynamic

Hai, You can take a level 0 back up at the same time online is running and users are working. Issue ontape 's 'L 0 command to take a complete back-up. After back-up is over, it tells you till which log, the back-up has been done also. Hello I am very new to this list and Informix. Presently I have a big problem with backup of our database which is on Informix Dynamic Server running on HP UX 10.20. The only way I know to perform a backup is to do a dbexport and backup the file to tape through cpio. While doing this, Informix should be shut down. We cannot afford to down Informix for any time.
