Using dbexport

I am using dbexport (On-Line v 7.13) to perform weekly unloads of our databases. Because of the exclusive locks that dbexport puts on a database, it does not work if there are connections to the database. I am curious to find out how you solved this issue in your environments. How do you perform weekly unloads? How do you gracefully disconnect attached users? Do you use tools other than dbexport? etc... Any ideas would be welcomed. Steve Romankiw Executive Risk Inc.
