Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Tam OShanter asked for a query tool similar to MS Query Analyzer, lighter than Server Studio and suitable for developers. Replies recommended DbVisualizer (Adam Tauno Williams), Aqua Data Studio (DL Redden and Eric Rowell) and WinSQL (Doug McAllister). No single choice was settled on.

First off,
Thanks for the replies from the group RE: Server Studio. Very nice tool.
I was wondering if there is a query tool, roughly analogous to M$ Query
Analyzer, that is preferred by the Informix community.
Command line works great, but I'm looking for something that gives
developers and easy to use tool without all of the Administration
functionality found in Server Studio.
Thank you for your time.

We use DbVisualizer, works very very well.

I think it was mentioned on the other post too but we use Aqua Data Studio. It works nicely for dinking around with the data and viewing schema's.
