Eric, In Wingz 1.1x (where x may be a, b, or c) the only file formats supported are TEXT (tab-delimited), SYLK, Lotus-1, Lotus-2a, Excel 2.2 (BIFF), DIF If you can create a file in any of these formats, it will load easily into your Wingz worksheet. Alternately, you can write a small HyperScript program that would loop through your imported data and parse the data into its separate components. Such a program would be pretty simple to write, and should have good performance. You can also update from Wingz to HyperScript Tools, the next generation graphical development product based on HyperScript. HSTools includes a new enhanced version of Wingz, as well as vastly enhanced HyperScript language and graphical developers tools. For your needs, HyperScript Tools adds the ability to read comma-delimited TEXT files (as well as tab-delimited). It also includes a "Text to Table" dialog box so that end users can parse cell contents into multiple columns. HSTools is currently available on Windows and UNIX-Motif (Sun, HP, IBM), with ports to Macintosh and other Motif environments coming later this year. As an existing Wingz customer, you can update to HSTools (retail $1495) for less than $300. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paul Christensen "Some of the best features remain undocumented" Sr. CSE, Somerset, NJ cpaul@informix.com (908)356-3600 >Hello, >I have the following problems.
