Books on Informix
Posted in 1992
Many thanks to those who responded to my query on upgrading from Version 1.10 to 4.0. At least now I know what questions to ask before I fall headlong into the "land of the lost"... I started learning Informix about 2 years ago with nothing more than the distribution manuals and 1/2 million lines of spaghetti code that had been mangled previously by 4 programmers. I've pretty much exhausted the info I can glean from the manuals (they COULD have better examples), but I know that FAR more can be accomplished. I've already done things that my predecessors said were impossible. Are there any GOOD books available on Informix? Some that I can live with, chew on, and learn from? My company can't afford to send me to training classes, so I fill my library very carefully. Your recommendations (and warnings) are appreciated...
