Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Hi,
I would like to know if anyone has used the security option feature
under sqlhosts where you can specify r=x for client settings and s=x
for server settings. This feature is available starting in 7.1 and
allows you to disable or enable(default) the /etc/hosts.equiv and the
~/.rhosts lookup feature when connecting to a remote database. I have
set my option to r=0,s=0 on a 7.12.uc3 system on both the client and
server side which says to disable the lookup of whether a client host
is trusted. However, when I connect to the remote database, I get the
-956 message saying that I'm not a trusted user.
Any thoughts on this one would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
