7.30.uc7-2 - caldera linux - tcp/ip connection problems

Installed the informix server for Linux 7.30.UC7-2 on Caldera Linux version 2.2.5 We can run dbaccess local and create database, run sql's and so on, but we cannot access the server from the network. Also, cannot access the linux server from the other DB servers on the network. IPC connection appears to function fine. The TCP/IP connection is what we cannot get to work. Anyone get this working on a version of Caldera??? I have seen the posts to use the 2.2.10 kernel but Caldera doesn't appear to have one yet.
