4GL Compilation Problem

After exhausting all possibilities I decided to ask here. I'm running 4GL 4.16 and noticed some problems while compiling a vendor's code. We tried what the vendor suggested (from Informix) and I've spoken with Informix under a separate case number. When I try to compile a program I receive a segmentation fault. C4GL gives a "323" error which translates to "attempt to grant on a temporary table." Programs I've developed compile fine as do programs from another vendor. The vendor told us Informix told them to have us upgrade to 5.10 of the database (we were running 5.08.) I tried that with no success. Informix told me to upgrade to 4.20 of the tools. I have not received the upgrade yet (due in Monday morning.) Has anyone seen anything like this before? I also have the RDS version and that compiles fine for all programs. The vendor told me I could not use RDS because of return codes from OS calls. Any help is greatly appreciated!
