Informix-SE on Red Hat 5.1

Hello, I have installed Informix-SE and I-Connect on my Red Hat 5.1 box, just for a test and it works fine. Since I need to reinstall Red Hat for a disk space problem, I will install Informix products again. Question-1: the first time, I only installed SE and Connect, and everything works, including clinet/server connections. With the "glibc6" problem, will I be able to install ESQL/C? I just need to install ESQL/C to compile the Perl modules necessary to use DB:DBI and a I will not develop with ESQL/C. Will this work, just to compile the Perl database module? Question-2: Is the installation sequence 1-ESQL/C, 2-SE, 3-Connect correct? Thanks in advance.
