With raw disk 2GB is not a constraint. Not sure why your configration did not work. It may be worth checking that your offset is not 0 as it will overwrite the disk label and that the next offset does not overlap Rgds Paul Matthews
I thibk this is wrong - you CAN'T address more than 2GBytes of a disk with Informix. Although the OS supports 64-bit addressing, the relevant Informix utilities still have a 32-bit limitation. Thus the sum of size + offset must be less than 2GB, so even with offsets you can't use more than the first 2GBytes of a slice.
