Addressing two different versions of esql I've installed on my NT machine (A) INFORMIX-Connect 2.01 and INFORMIX SDK 2.01 with INFORMIX-ESQL Version 9.14.TC1. From my machine I'm connected (via a network drive) to an other machine (B) where INFORMIX-ESQL Version 7.20.TD1 is installed. What I would like to do is to be able to create a different DLL per INFORMIX-ESQL version from my machine in one makefile. Creating a DLL for Version 9.14.TC1 works fine. Creating a DLL for Version 7.20.TD1 does not work. The Esql preprocessing seems to work fine, but C compiling stops because compiler does not find include file sqliapi.h. In the build view window of Microsoft Developer Studio INFORMIX-ESQL Version 7.20.TD1 is displayed. It looks like it's still using the local INFORMIX-ESQL Version 9.14.TC1 instead of INFORMIX-ESQL Version 7.20.TD1. I've tried several things in the makefile like including the full path to esql, adjusting the environment variable path to search for Informix on machine B. The only thing that seems to work is adjusting INFORMIXDIR to the remote machine (B) via Setnet32. Is there a way to automate this and use this in my makefile? The reason is that I want to build both DLLs in one makefile in one go. Thanks, Susi Lith Senior Software Engineer Compuware Europe BV, Amsterdam E-mail: susi_lith@nl.compuware.com
