HOWEVER Informix does a separate port of everything for Solaris 2.5. E.g. I have seen online porting schedules where the latest version of Online 7.x (think it was 7.12.UC1) HAD been ported to Solaris 2.5 but HAD NOT been ported to Solaris 2.4. I would imagine to be legal AND to get support (Informix INSIST you run the correct version for your VERSION of the Operating System) you would need to get a new version of everything. PS One of my customers runs Online 5.07.UC1 on Solaris 2.5.1, the label on the tape says for Solaris 2.4 and the outside of the box had a label saying Solaris 2.4, when I passed the part number and serial number to Informix UK Tech Support they said it was actually for Solaris 2.5.1. Now I am confused!!) Final Answer: I would get new versions. -- David Williams
