create a shell script with the following isql <database name> << ! > $0.out 2> $0.err <sql statement>; <sql statement>; <sql statement>; ! or isql - << ! > $0.out 2> $0.err database <database name>; <sql statement>; <sql statement>; <sql statement>; close database; ! Remember that you will have to setup your environment before you run isql.
