While the code has to be recompiled, the incompatibilities we faced were few. In fact, we found only two. 1. minor one relating to 'SKIP TO TOP OF PAGE' in report functions. 2. potentially serious one (but I-tech support says that this is specific only to 6.04.UC1 (pcode 602)) - If a WHERE clause uses a variable which is defined as a VARCHAR (we use the LIKE statement as far as possible when defining variables), the SQL stmt 'fails'. Change the variable defn. to CHAR and everything's OK. P.S We have about 700,000 LOC (I think it would cover most potential incompatibilities). ----------------------- Rudy Fernandes GIC, Kuwait OL 7.20UC4, 4GL 6.04UC1 -----------------------
