The process is a little involved, but in a 'nut shell': 1. Install Legato client and/or server 2. Install Informix BusinessSuite 3. Legato Business suite creates an example shell script which is called during the backup process. It's refered to in the documentation. You will need to find this and edit it later. Becarefull what you change the name to. The doc's caution (in small letters) that Legato SAVE requires a certain name and location for this file. 4. Business suite installation will install a default pool for DBMI. You will need to define a client, group, and schedule and tie them together. 5. You can also define scripts to automate the 'ad hoc' backups you might run to perform special backups. There's several enviroment variables it wants.
