Re: 7.2 SE on Alpha/OSF...any caveats?
Posted in 1997
Hi Sheila! Let's start with the basics: 1- What's the complete version of your SE? In the case of OnLine, the general feeling is that version 7.22 and upwards are the versions to get; I don't know if this holds with SE, but yu can ask your Informix rep. 2- Have you all made kernel parameter changes as stated in your Release Notes (found in $INFORMIXDIR/msg)? (If your Informix rep is good, (s)he would have at least checked this, but I'm stating it anyway) 3- What language was your niche developer's application written in - 4GL, C, etc.? Have they been getting similar errors in other installations of the same version of their software? 4- Are there any OS patches that you should install? Check these out first; maybe they would shed some light. Best regards, Nigel Sheila Bowman wrote: } } We have 7.2 SE running on a DEC Alpha with DEC Unix 4.0B, rev 564.
