Problem Resolved! First I want to thank Harry Bochner, Mitangi Patel, Kathy Farr (interramp) , and all the other nice folks who contributed their ideas and information to help me resolve this problem. Also, I want to thank all the usenet users here who have been very patient with my (slightly?) off-topic posts. In summary: The home page for http://www.informix.com currently resides at 192.216.240.4. It turns out that we (not interramp) had a rogue address (a typo?) set in a secondary gateway that conflicted with the above. The problem had not surfaced before this because the gateway is only in light use. Apparently we had not attempted to browse informix with any equipment on this side of gateway prior to this episode. (I believe this qualifes me for making a stupid mistake, please have mercy.:) I had checked our DHCP, DNS entries, etc. but then split a synapse and forgot about the infamous little blue box in the closet. - barnett@interramp.com -
