long transaction aborted
Hello All:
When trying to load 224888 rows from a plain text file
I get this:
458: Long transaction aborted.
847: Error in load file line 18293I try once and
I get this:
458: Long transaction aborted.
847: Error in load file line 20293
and so on:ANY IDEA?

Use dbload utility instead of the load command in dbaccess.

I have used dbload on many occasions and it works without any problem.
Beaware of using dbload. This requires a .cmd file in the following format:
FILE <fully qualified path of unl file> DELIMITER '|' 12;
INSERT INTO <table to be loaded>;
NB: In above example number 12 is <no. of fields> in the table
Use dbload command as:
dbload -d <database name> -c <cmd file name> -l <any filename> -n <no. ofrows before commit>
Check dbload syntax for more options.
