Garbage collection and session limit for JDBC to I
Posted in 2009
Good afternoon, We are using a web based search tool that uses a JDBC connection to my Informix IDS 10.00 server. I would like to know if there is something I can set in the connection string in JDBC or a setting in JDBC that I will close an Informix session if there is no activity after 5 minutes. Reason why I'm asking is that my web-based application isn't issuing a db.close() or any kind of garbage collection after it opens a session to my db server. It leave table locks, memory used, on my Informix server and doesn't cleanup after itself. If you have experience with JDBC connection settings, I would be grateful for your expertise. Thank-you in advance. Sincerely, Jonathan B.
