This situation can also occur, if another database server already is brought online and that server has the same SERVERNUM in the $ONCONFIG-file than the actual server. The adress of the shared memory is calculated by a formula that includes the SERVERNUM. If more than one database server use the same SERVERNUM the shared mnemory adresses conflict !! Arne
