Last I heard Sybase couldn't do a transparent recoverable two phase commit between to Sybase databases (it requires a significant amount of programming). Has OmniSQL Gateway come out with new functionality? Do you really mean two place commit, i.e. you commit in one place and if it works you then commit in the other? This is how the product use to work and can NOT be called two phase commit as it is not recoverable. Oracle's Transparent Gateway products do support recoverable two phase commit between Oracle and non Oracle databases, with no programming (i.e. it's transparent). Dave Dargo (ddargo@us.oracle.com)
