I just tried: select platform_id[4,6] from port where platform_id[1,3] = "042" and select platform_id[2,4] from port where platform_id[3,5] = "042" and both worked fine. I am using I-SQL Version 4.10.UD1 Perhaps someone more knowledgeable than I can tell you whether there is a known bug in earlier versions?
