The DBLANG variable specifies the subdirectory of $INFORMIXDIR in which
the message files for the currently active language reside having the
suffix of .iem
I dont even have this variable set in my environment and I have installed
Online DSA 7.11.
I think this could be related to certain permission problems of the
message files or the respective deirectory as normally INFORMIX knowing
that $INFORMIXDIR is set to /usr/informix will look up message files into
the $INFORMIXDIR/msg as a default directory without the DBLANG being set
