We are an Oracle shop that is in the process of moving applications from Oracle to Informix. Like everyone else, we have SQL*Forms and SQL*Plus scripts, and some E/SQL Pro*C code. What are the major obstacles (if any) in converting the E/SQL code, other than the slightly different syntax for the SQL declarations and pre-processed statements....? Obviously the Forms would change, the scripts might be easier to convert, if the SQL used in the application code is fairly standard ANSI stuff. All the Oracle related maintenenace stuff would probably change too.... If you have been through such an exercise in your recent life, would you kindly share a helping word of advise as to minefields, and such....! Please email responses (UUCP only) to: westech!chong Your responses are much appreciated! ================================================================================ Arthur Chong : westech!chong Quote for the day: WAII =================== Houston, Texas.
