I emailed my thanks to Jonathan for those tips re SELECT ... FROM SYSTABLES but I just want to repeat them here. This is extremely useful to me and will be used very soon :). The support all the Informix people give on this newsgroup goes a long way to help me get the most out of what I think is a very good product. Once again, thanks.
