KAIO and 64-bit HP 11.0 again

hello,
today I had a conversation with Alexei Sonkin from Moscow's Informix support
center. I still cannot believe to what he said, namely:
Informix KAIO on 64-bit HP-UX 11.0 is _absolutely_ no-go area because of:
1) there's no performance gain on adequately (he didn't explain) configured
system...
(well, I got by far better results using KAIO (>25% faster) - thanks to all
who helped me with setup advice)
2) restore tools (onarchive, onbar) _will not_ work at all if KAIO is
used...
(I haven't really tested this heavily)
can anybody please confirm/reject this?
thanks for your attention,

I can certainly confirm that an 'ontape' restore fails on HP-UX 10.20 running
IDS 7.30 UC3 with KAIOON set to 1, but the UK Informix support centre claimed
this was fixed in 7.30 UC7.
Good Luck
