license question

i have a question regarding informix licensing... if i log into the database twice -- as the same user, how many licenses do i burn up? the specific circumstance is in a client (powerbuilder/windows) / server (informix / unix) situation where multiple applications each separately connect to the database from the same user/workstation. any insight would be greatly appreciated. even better if via email... \\x/endy
