INFORMIX LAUNCHES LATEST PRODUCTS ON MOTOROLA PLATFORMS Informix and Motorola are proud to announce the availability of Informix v7.10 on Motorola's new PowerStack family of products running AIX 4.1. Motorola's PowerStack family of products are based on the PowerPC RISC architecture developed jointly by Apple, IBM, and Motorola. Motorola's PowerStack systems can support both IBM's AIX 4.1 and MicroSoft Windows NT version 3.5.1. Informix is already certified on the AIX 4.1 platform and currently has our latest products available for the Motorola PowerPC machines. Motorola's PowerStack family of products are extremely price/com petitive and come in three (3) version from the desk top, to entry level servers, to the enterprise server. Three (3) members of the Pow erStack have been introduced to date. The RISC PC in both desk top and mini tower versions target the desk top and low end markets. The Series E platform is the entry level server for the small work group solution. The Series MP platform is the high end SMP system which comes in both a dual and quad 601 CPU configuration.
