AFAIK, Cisco keeps track of what it sells. I have not noted IBM mentioning names of clients for quite some time, perhaps it is a policy. Cisco does not actually support the IDS product, that is pushed off to IBM, but then the customer doesn't know that an issue is with IDS or with the software and winds up on Cisco's support infrastructure anyway. After treage that may wind up over at IBM. The most notorious of those cases is setting up the ODBC driver (not an IDS issue at all), and is handled in the treage stage before ever getting to IBM. To date I know of no IDS issues that have required IBM support in the field, but then the Cisco dev and QA processes are very rigorous and liable to find and correct most issues before they escape the lab. I'm not a java junkie and won't speak to that. j.
