Solaris 7 compatibility

Just checking to see if anyone has information about Informix products (specifically ODS 7.23 and 9.14 - also the version 7 SE engine) running on Solaris 2.7. I am getting conflicting answers from my local Informix rep and the engineers at Informix tech support - one say's it is binary compatible and the other say's NO! Any ideas out there? Not much at the Informix web site. We are currently running on Solaris 2.6 and looking at upgrading soon. tia :-) Maria ---------------------------------------------------------------- Maria L. I believe the Sun line is Solaris 2.6 binaries are compatible to Solaris 7, but to make the most out of Solaris 7 binaries should be recompiled. Sun has does something a bit smart within the libraries so that the correct parts of the library are called dependent on the 32/64 bit compilation options, this should ensure 32 bit code uses the 32 bit component and not the 64 bit version.
