I'm curious whether there is any interest in C string processing functions (like UpCase, LoCase, StrPos, StrDel, etc). We have written a datablade that adds a fair number of utility functions, including string processing, MD5 encoding, random number generation, etc. We are considering releasing this datablade for public consumption. The blade contains just functions, no custom datatypes (ie. you can pick and choose which functions to register). Functions are indeed very fast, and work very well in combination with SPL. Let me know if you are interested in testing the blade. It has been tested on 9.12, if anyone has any ideas on how to port it to 7.xx email me as well! Jan jcz@sourcefinder.com
