I don't think that any amount of hashing will affect this - it's been defined for several hundred years :-) Actually, 2000 *IS* a leap year. The algorithm is: if year is divisible by 4, it's a leap year - UNLESS it is also divisible by 100, and NOT divisible by 400 (I know there's a prettier way of saying that (I've even coded it prettier)), but what it means is: 2000 is a leap year 2100 is not 2200 is not 2300 is not 2400 (not that any of us, our children, etc. will worry about THAT one) is.
