International Language Supplement

Hi, One of my production server running ODS 7.23 UC4 on AIX 4.2 encounters a "illegal character error" when performing some sql statements via Peoplesoft. When I checked with Peoplesoft, they claimed that the International Language Supplement may not be installed. What's this international language supplement? Isn't it the GLS (global language support)? How can I activate this international language support. The environment variable LANG is set to en_US and the DBNLS is not set at all. Any help is greatly appreciated. Regards, Terence
