Version 9.20 is faster than 7.31, and I can't imagine version 9.3x is slower than 9.2x. Cheers, -- Mark. +----------------------------------------------------------+-----------+ | Mark D. Nope I don't believe IBM marketing. In my experience 9.20 running the same app is slower than 7.31 on the same hardware/configuration. Admittly it's only a 2 CPU server. "Mark D. Every single customer of ours that upgraded from a 7.3x engine to a
9.2x engine complained immediately about performance issues.
So much so that we held off on IDS2000 until 9.3 came out. At which
point we no longer had complaints.
Besides that I hated the botch job some versions of 9.2 did on the
dbexport sql.
