My own experience with ODBC Access 2.0 32-bit drivers is that they are much slower than direct a direct API interface to the table native format like Codebase++ 5.1. But that may not matter depending on your application needs. I needed a multi user application (on NT) with many simultaneous queries. ODBC's performance and memory usage was poor on this environment where the application is open, then do one query, print results, and exit. After a few performance measuremnts (using performance monitor) I decided to switch to something else (which turned out to be Codebase++ 5.1 using dbase file format). I can see where I would use ODBC on a single user application where the ODBC DLLS are loaded once, and multiple operations are done thereafter. I hope this helps, Javier In article <D5wn99.2Ey@tfs.com>, clawton@mailhub.tfs.com (Chris Lawton) wrote: > >Hi. > >We're about to start a new project, and we're interested in ODBC. > >Performance is, of course, high on our list of concerns.
