I would NOT use this product. I don't think Informix is pushing this product a lot and it seems that they will discontinue it in the future. Here is the reason why I think like this: 1. There is no support for this through Informix. You have to call the third party company who actually developed it. 2. I don't see many people using it. In fact, I asked an Informix Certified Instructor and he did not even know if there is a product called VB Data Direct. 3. If Informix can't make enough revenue from this product. Most likely they will discontue it. Again, this is just an opinion.
