Stored procedures and char concat

Hi it is surely a trivial thing but i cant do it: i just try to concat a char(129) variable with a following "/" in a stored procedure. there is no result when i use the || operator. in 4gl there is a result, when i give "clipped" to the char variable, but in spl it seems that i can't use the "clipped" postfix. tom
